    Bumblebee Travel is a Utah company that specializes in adventure travel for students. We have spent years fostering relationships with the communities we visit, and local vendors that can provide safe, unforgettable experiences for our customers. We also work with local Utah teachers who accompany us on trips and help design curriculum that can be integrated into classrooms. 

  • Zambo Guides

    Zambo is a Colombian company specializing in guiding students on outdoor excursions. Zambo's guides offer bilingual support throughout the entire trip and always have a medical doctor on staff. With decades of experience working with local groups in Colombia, Zambo ensures a guide-to-student ratio of one guide for every ten students.

  • Local Guides

    Indigenous guides who have lifetimes of knowledge about local culture, the natual habitat and the history of the the local jungle will support us through much of the trip. Students are able to ask questions and and gain insights that only a true local could provide.

Our team works hard to make sure that students are safe, and able to get as much as possible during the trip. We do this by focusing on the details.

  • Through local guides and Zambo knowledge the activities we do are safe and have been tested. Security and the well being of students is our number one concern.

  • Students will have a medical doctor on hand at all times. If a medical emergency were to occur, one of our staff and a Colombian staff would accompany the child to a local hospital.

  • No matter where we will be sleeping, the area or business has been inspected and tested.

  • We will get to try lots of new and interesting foods. But, we don't want to get sick. All food we eat at restaurants, out door jungle cooking, or snacks have been inspected to assure we can all have a great time.

  • Being in the Amazon Jungle or in the mountains can be intimidating and challenging. Our guides can support both students and teachers when the times get tuff. We see these moments as opportunities to grow and we will be there with open ears and comfort.

  • Every plane, buss, boat or trail will be planned for.

  • Our team and local guides will provide multiple opportunities to observe and ask questions about local customs, beliefs, and knowledge. We will have events planned out, and will have opportunities arise. We also hope to work with teachers on the trip to make this come alive for students.

  • The Amazon Jungle and the Andean Mountains are AMAZING! And for a biologist it is a dream. We will have opportunities to both observe and touch the Earths most important ecosystem. We work with teachers to bring this alive for students.

  • At Bumblebee Travel we have worked hard to grow relationships so that we might do real service work while we are there. The service portion of the trip is important to us and is a great experience for students.
